Applicants to the Academy High School are considered International if they are not U.S. Citizens. Our students come from China, Hong Kong,
Japan South America, Central America and other countries all over the world.

Notice Of Admission

Students require the following prior to the issuance of the I-20.
1. A copy of the first page of your Passport.
2. Full payment for year tuition. Credit cards/bank wire transfer etc.
3. A local address for residence in the U.S.A.
4. Address of your residence address in your home Country.
5. Evidence of former education (transcript of grades) delivered to school.

If your application is rejected upon proof of rejection full refund is due.

Passports & Visas

Students meeting admission requirements of the School will be given a certificate of eligibility (FORM I-20). This I-20 will be considered for a student visa (F-1) by presenting it and the following documents to the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate in the student´s home country.

1. A valid passport.
2. Evidence of adequate financial support documents.
3. Evidence of proficiency in the English language or requesting language training.

Deadline For Applications

Academy High School has an open admissions policy students begin each months for 10 months beginning September. Summer Programs are also available.

Health Insurance

Applicants must arrange for medical insurance while in the United States. School physical may be required of new students prior to beginning classes. This will be arranged after reporting to the school in the United States.

Attendance Requirements

An international student must be in attendance each school day. Students must not consume alcohol nor drugs while in attendance at school nor engage in illegal activities.

English Proficiency

If the international applicant´s native language is not English, the school will offer tutoring with bi-lingual instructors in all curriculum until student is competent to maintain academic classes. Some students elect to enroll in Academy High School´s Intensive English Classes.

Academic Records

Upon issuance of the F-1 visa from the student´s country of origin, the student should bring former school academic translated records to assure that class´s dovetail with your ongoing schooling.

Curriculum

Small classes offered where students are taught on an individual learning level. Specially skilled, caring instructors serve students as mentor/counselors and are directly involved with each student´s educational and personal goals. Our graduates are prepared and expected to enter colleges and universities each year. We also welcome students who may need to progress at a slower pace in a non-competitive environment.

Athletics

The Academy High School is NCAA approved for college sports scholarships. Many graduates have received University Scholarships for Football, Baseball, Golf, Tennis Ice Hockey and other sports.

Summer Programs

Academic programs are available for acceleration or for remedial purposes. English language classes are also available for short terms.

Note

Dual enrollment with the University of Florida´s various academic programs are offered to all students and are taught simultaneously with the Academy High School Instructors for dual academic credits.
